A Via train was stopped near Woodroffe and Merivale crossings Saturday afternoon after the conductor spotted a shirtless man on the tracks.
After the train came to a stop, the man climbed under it, emergency responders said.
Police and paramedics were called shortly before 1 p.m., and an apparently impaired 30-year-old was apprehended.
Police and paramedics remained on the scene.
