Woman, 19, dies in Gatineau car crash

A young woman is dead following a late-night crash on Chemin Taché in Gatineau.
Police said speed was suspected as a factor in the crash in which a car went out of control and slammed into a guardrail.
Police did not release the victim’s identity except to say she was 19.
A 20-year-old man riding in the car escaped unscathed.
Taché was closed between Massicotte Street and Gatineau Avenue, and Gatineau Avenue was closed between Taché and Chemin de Bellechasse while police investigated.
