Ottawa firefighters made quick work of an overnight fire in the basement of a home at 505 Kirkwood Ave.
Firefighters were called to the address shortly before midnight when neighbours reported smoke and flames visible from the basement windows.
Quick response meant the fire was quickly dealt with but damages were still estimated at more than $100,000.
No one was in the home at the time of the fire and there were no injuries.
The cause of the fire is still undetermined.
