Police are investigating after a teenaged boy was shot by another youth in a boat near Prescott-Russell, about 60 kilometres from Ottawa, Friday afternoon.
The shooting is being described as accidental.
According to reports, the teens were hunting birds from a boat.
Responders were called to a lake at about 5 p.m. Friday where they found the the wounded teen.
Prescott-Russell paramedics provided treatment and the victim was taken via air ambulance to the trauma centre at the Ottawa Hospital in stable condition.
