Extrication equipment was required after Ottawa Fire Services was called to an accident at 1234 Kinburn Side Rd. shortly after 11 p.m. on Friday night.
A vehicle had gone into a ditch and the person inside was unconscious when firefighters arrived, the news release stated.
Crews applied a C spine to the patient to immobilize the head before the patient was placed in the care of Ottawa paramedics.
