A suspicious package found at a federal building on Monday night turned out to be non-hazardous, Ottawa Fire Services Chief Richard Haufe said.
Firefighters received a call at 7:03 p.m. about a suspicious package at a Canada Post on Colonnade Road.
Ottawa’s fire hazmat team and RCMP responded and worked together.
Haufe said the scene was handed off to RCMP for further investigation.
