Environment Canada has lifted its winter travel advisory but bundle up. Friday morning’s -11 C makes it the coldest Nov. 10 on record and gusty winds make it feel more like -22.

The previous record was -9 C in 1995.

Friday’s forecast is for mainly cloudy skies, a 30 per cent chance of morning flurries, westerly winds at 30 km/h gusting to 50 and a high of -8 C.

Overnight, skies clear, winds become light and the mercury drops to -12 C.

Saturday, Remembrance Day, should feel comparatively balmy with sunshine and a high of -3 C dropping to -6 C overnight.

For Sunday, expect clouds with a 30 per cent chance of flurries or rain showers day and night, a high of 4 C and a low of -2 C.

Monday’s forecast is for a mix of sun and cloud, a high of 6 C and a low of -4 C.

For Tuesday, mixed skies, a high of 3 C and low of -4 C are predicted.

There’s a 40 per cent chance of showers and a high of 3 C and low of zero expected for Wednesday.

Thursday is expected to reach a high of 5 C under cloudy skies with a 30 per cent chance of showers.
