请教有娃的家长们，童子军是咋回事？

各位乡亲，娃回来说他们班好几个洋孩子都上了童子军。孩子们也学不清楚，有的说是培养领导力的，有的说对上大学有帮助。不知道这是什么组织？管什么用的？时间安排和具体学习活动内容。

大街经常见洋孩子们超市门口捧个盒子捐款什么的，知道是童子军，就是周围没有华人孩子上有经验的。请这里的蛟龙出海给解释解释。

你家孩子多大啊，一般参加童子军都是小时候就开始，不同年龄有不同的级别，小朋友之间都很熟，家长之间也熟。如果你家孩子愿意和同学一起去，也挺好。童子军各种活动很多，义卖啊，露营啊，我觉得挺不错。

据说scouts要钱，cadet要年龄12岁以上。

你家孩子多大啊，一般参加童子军都是小时候就开始，不同年龄有不同的级别，小朋友之间都很熟，家长之间也熟。如果你家孩子愿意和同学一起去，也挺好。童子军各种活动很多，义卖啊，露营啊，我觉得挺不错。

他们同学好几个在上，今天回来说的他也想去。一周就一次，其他的就不知道了，如果觉得不耽误时间也不用跑很远，我觉得有个机会和孩子们一起玩挺好的。所以想请这里有上童子军的家长给介绍介绍经验。

Air Cadet.. I would recommend it to kids who have leadership skills or are interested in developing their own ones. I know my son did benefit a lot from it .. Yes, Leadership skills development. He also received the so called Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal because of his work at the Cadet. No. It took him more time than once per week. Usually they had program at Wednesday night and Sunday if my memory serves me right. At times they will spent entire weekend out for camping and survivor program. He is not lucky enough to receive a pilot license though. The program is free to join and open to every one older than 12. for more details check its website 211 Ottawa Kiwanis Air Cadet Squadron.
