Gatineau firefighters continued the efforts of some residents and put out a garage fire on rue Elzear Monday around supper time.
Residents called 911 after seeing smoke coming from their garage. By the time firefighters arrived, the residents were outside throwing snow on the flames. Firefighters put out the rest of the fire, which had spread.
There were no injuries, but two people evacuated the home.
