我前面說過了，這是極限施壓的一種手法，有點類似二人打架，一方把手揮到另一方眼前看你眨不眨眼的套路。
不過極限施壓也有個缺點，就是如果對方不咬鉤，極限施壓方就可能反而自己在旁觀者眼裡先失了理。斷絕油料還好點，如果真的建立起封鎖圈斷絕示威人群的糧草，那麼就等於實質圈禁了他們，肯定違反人權法。而且卡車司機有一些帶了家屬的，到時候哪怕只有一家女人孩子鏡頭前哭訴被警方禁止補給忍飢挨餓，民意立馬就會對市長大大地不利。
這也是我為什麼一開始不大讚同卡車司機抗議的原因之所在：疫苗護照取消乃全球大勢所趨，時間並不在馬克龍土豆魁省省長他們一邊，所以多一事反不如少一事。
但如今抗議活動陷入僵局，如果抗議者應對不當，土豆還是有可能依靠鎮壓成功重獲足夠政治資本，趕在全球疫苗政策煙消雲散之前再強推一次加強針或兒童疫苗的。我相信這恰恰是他最想做的。

The mayor did not give specific details about what measures he might impose, but police said on Sunday that they would step up enforcement, including possible arrests of those seeking to aid the protesters by bringing them supplies like fuel, toilet paper and food.
A state of emergency will give the city additional powers, including access to equipment required by frontline workers and emergency services.
比較一下加美類似疫苗政策即可發現：美國拜登政府推出的相關政策雖然有強迫性，甚至手伸到私企，但就事論事其政策設計本身卻是緊緊圍繞防疫需求本身的。比如如果不到辦公室上班就不必非打疫苗、或者每週檢測陰性也可以不打，等等。相關大型體育賽事娛樂活動等的入場檢查疫苗護照也同樣可以用近期陰性證明或現場速檢替代。
反觀加拿大這邊，從一開始起就故意把「檢測替代疫苗」這種其實很科學的「後門」給完全堵死。這種寧願整齊劃一也不給民眾留任何（既科學且合情合理）選項空間的思路和做法，恰恰具備專制獨裁的特點和特徵。

不敢抓據說已經公然違法了的卡車司機，只敢抓給他們送食品甚至廁紙的普通市民？
剛聽到一消息，Jim Watson要求聯邦政府派出中間人協助和卡車司機的談判：
Ottawa's mayor is calling on the Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's government to appoint a mediator in an effort to end the 'Freedom Convoy' occupation in the city's downtown.
Jim Watson said he has suggested to federal ministers that a mediator could be "an honest broker on both sides to try to find some common ground, if that's possible."
司机们要是真心为民请愿，就事论事地与政府讨论强制令的利弊，及其对公民自由人权的影响，就可以认为不是玩政治，而是在实现真正的政治。拭目以待。
千万不能這麼想。卡車司機目前要明白：体面收场就是赢，对方有所顾忌不等于对方没有武器。
