yeah yeah...i just want to say your supporting/concluding schemes aren't really that logical..for twice(sorry)...btw, I also, just me personally, don't like people being called xiao3 liu4 (Liu2 xiang2) or Xiao3 yada yada...although it made the callER appearing as an older wiser, but...it just didn't work for your case, guess what...it worked opposite way!...no offense though...only my observation.
oh one more thing, we don't like to be told "Easy" when it's obviously not a case to act easy (I am outraged, yes you are right, although I am not that person-Liu xiang!!)...that's why you got SOME attention here...hope you liked it that way

Liu Xiang didn't come from nowhere, he has also defeated Allen Johnson (this time in person) in Osaka in May, running a time of 13.06 (A French national record set by Ladji Doucoure) and ran that time once again at home in his last race before the Olympic Games.

Like it or not, that's what I think. Take it "eASY". Don't be so sensitive. Liu is outstanding, but it takes a while before everyone willingly accpets him, simply because he's relatively new to this elite group, and Team China does not have 100% clean history..
CBC is just CBC. If you want to complain, go ahead and enjoy it. Technically, CBC did nothing wrong. You will get nothing by sending out those complaints. As a braodcaster, they receive hundreds of complaints, daily, yours included.
That's what I think, whatever others would comment. But if someone would like me to greet his/her parents, I certainly will do and it's free - this is also what I think.

We like to be sensitive (yay! can we not be sensitive while being wrongly treated? ), sensitivity is a feature of human being while distinguished with other creatures after hell of centuries Biological Evolvement for god sake!

I'm going to disagree with you this time. If we stay silent, nothing will ever happen, we have to voice our opinions. Some ethnic groups like Muslims are much more open and active in expressing their thoughts, and they in turn get more attentions.

我不觉得有什么过分敏感。如果大家看过开幕式话应该还记得主持人对中国队的介绍吧。说了几句姚明后，就说起中国游泳队集体服药的事。虽然她说的是事实，但也不用在开幕式上说吧，更何况加拿大也有吃药的呢？其实这本质上反应了什么东西大家明白。
过分敏感当然不好，但其实知道自己权益受到损害而不敢或不想去争取，其实也是一种自卑的表现。其实去抱怨一下也没有什么不好。新闻报道本来就要求真实、准确、公平公正，即使她的原意不是我们所理解的那样，但也说明了他们的节目有做得不好的地方所以引起了很多人的误会，难道不需要改进了吗？
当然每个人理解不同，你可以选择去投诉，也可以选择不去投诉。投诉的结果，甚至连一张废纸也不会增加，但也许会引起积极回应(虽然是也许，而且机会很小)。
权益只能靠自己去争取。
