Remember, I asked all visitors to answer my questions at very beginning? Here they come:
Question 1:
For a beginner, which of two major brand (Canon, Nikon) offers better Digital SLR?
Question 2:
Which of these two has better lenses?
Question 3:
Amount Canon Digital Rebel 300D, 10D/20D, Nikon D70, which one is better in term of value/dollar.
Question 4:
As a beginner, what lenses are must to have, for your suggested camera?
Question 5:
Without cheat, can you tell what my current camera is that used to shoot above photos?
Allow me explain a bit more about myself. I am a beginner. I like photographing. I started few years ago, but only get serious just now. Ever since I discovered that I might have some talent on photographing.
I have never had SLR cameras before, neither traditional film nor digital. I am going to buy a digital SLR and lenses sometime next year. I heard Canon Digital Rebel 300D was a good camera. I know you guys would not even give a peek, however, would you mind to tell me more about why it's not in your list? I also heard of Nikon D70 and Canon 1D/10D/20D. I know they are very expensive cameras. Since I never have any SLR and lenses, I guess I start clean. In my situation, I would like to know which brand (Canon or Nikon?) I should go with, so I don't have switch brand and waste all lenses down the road. Guys, please give me some advices! I will appreciate a lots!

No big differece between the Best from Canon and the Best from Nikon, I think.

There is no must-have-lense
Question 5:
Take 2 ends: either 300D or 1D. For beginner: 300D will do the job. Nikon D70 is good but more expensive than 300D. The head behind the camera is the descive factor for the pictures in most situations.If your budget is not a problem, go to 1D directly.

Golden Sky, Woodroff Lookout: 色彩很好, 构图一般.
谢谢你的意见！Montreal Night 是有点虚，一直没注意到，高手一眼就看出来了。
我想可能与天冷有关，那天晚上大概是-5~-8度左右吧。我没有三脚架的...St-John,确实是斜了，唉，还是没有三脚架，就只好借靠在椅背上了，所以...
“Golden Sky, Woodroff Lookout: 构图一般？”没说的，继续修炼...

I sort lean towards this camera - 300D. But many people said it was not so flexible in its manual mode. Although it shares the same sensor and graphic processor with its brother 10D, but there was many features cut off from its manual mode. I am a bit concerned. I am using a S400. Although it is a consumer camera, I like it. It does an excellent job for me. But as you all have seen, it limits right here, and can not go any further. I feel my creativiness was dragged down by the lackness of its manual mode features. That was why I decided to move up to SLR. I need more manual features to play with, if 300D cuts off many manual feature, I will have to hop to next level though. What do you think?
I also like Canon Cameras. My S400 never disappointed me. I have been using it so much, I would not go out without it. the cloudscapes were actually taken while I was roller blading along the river park way.
I hope by the time I buy my first SLR, 10D will have come down to the same price as a 300D is now. I think it will be, since 20D has been released by Canon recently. Pretty good chance there is I think.
