Briliant idea! I think I may go with it. Just one more concern about it. Would an used camera produce photos in a declined manner? I mean, would an used camera be actually able to take shots as sharp as a new one does? there is a rumor that a digital sensor can only do certain amount of shots, the quality of photos declines from time to time. Is it ture?

I saw one on ebay, the seller is moving up to 1D (what a crazy guy...). The 10D he is selling has taken few thousands shots, asking for about $1000 CND, no lens though. Do you think it is worthwhile to buy?

Thanks again!

Xterra: I'm not sure about the relationship between 10D sensor life cycle and number of photos taken, but you should be aware that the shutter life is limited (although nobody can give a number yet). So ideally you should get a 10D with less number of images taken. That should be the first question to ask if the seller did not specify.

1000CAD$ for a 10D is a good price, considering that you need to pay $1800 +tax a few month ago. But you should be careful about Ebay seller and only deal with those with good ratings.

A very good place to buy used 10D is here:

I bought my 50/1.8 here (saved $50), and 70-200 f/4(saved around $100). There are a few 10D for sale right now. It's easier to buy from a Canadian seller as you don't have to deal with cross border shipping/tax issue, but Canadian seller's price will be slightly higher. I don't have issue dealing with US seller as long as they have good feedback on the forum (you can do a search of the user name before you buy). I bought the 70-200 from a US seller.

Why not put up an WTB ad there and see if you get some response (will garanttee plenty as many people are dumping 10D to get the latest and greatest toy). You should specify that you are a canadian buyer since not all US seller care to ship to Canada.

Good luck. Any questions you can email me or send me QQH.

My 2 cents, for the electronic toy, playing the newer one is always enjoyable. (you may buy a used lens, but not buy a used body).
