After failed to see the great gray owl in the trail, I had to change my road to another place to look for it. Driving slowly, checked the left side and right side to see what I could find. Here was one on the right side of the road. She was staring me and seemed to say to me " how are you today ?"

9, I am not taking care about the hares, I am looking for the great gray owl, but there is an animal in the jungle and looking at me, what is it?

11, She knew that I aimed at her and shot her, so she stopped and made a standard hare pose. I recognized that she was a snowshoe hare, which I saw at first time. Here is the picture.

12, After saying goodbye with the hares, I didn't forget what I should do ---- looking for the great gray owl. I went to the place where the birds liked to stay, what kinds of the birds I saw, they were:

13, When I shot the birds, the two retired mem driven with a Benz passed by, I said to them "Hi, did you see the great gray owl?" they said no but they were looking for the great gray owl as well, they are the birders. We talked. I asked them about the information of the great gray owl and other owls in Ottawa, they were so kind to tell me what they knew, and then they continued their research for the owl. I continued shooting the birds on the trees and ground.

15, here is the mourning dove. "Will today be my mourning day ?" I had no interesting to capture the blackcapped chickadee, the downy woodpecker, they are the year-around residents. How could they compare with the great gray owl? Just then the Benz car was being driven back, the kindly birder told me "Man, get up with your stuff, the great gray owl is waiting for you to shoot, it is on the right-hand trees near the second 80 km sign on the xxx road, you go straight, toun left, arrive to xxx road then toun left again." "Wait for what, go" I said to myself. I went there, they went somewhere.

16, I drove my car to get there, stopped it beside the 80 km sign and looked through the trees on right-hand of the road. Yes, the great gray owl was standing on the branch of a big tree. I held my camera up, aimed at the owl and focused it. OoooooO, too bad, I couldn't get the focus on. Why ? you see the picture I took with manual focus at that time.
