Thanks, 阿瓜. Not happy that I did not capture a good owl-in-flight shot.
No luck today so I took some telephoto landscape instead.

For owl pictures I really like 14 and 17. Particularly 14, really enjoyed the warm side lighting.
But I much prefer your landscape pictures, both 19 and 20 are excellent shots, you have an artistic soul. 19 had me gazed at the monitor like an idiot for over 5 minutes. Excellent! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, 阿瓜,渐渐. I was on my way to look for the owl and noticed the snow on the remote mountain. This is on the Chinese New Year's day. Temprature is not that low but the wind is freezing. Had the camera mounted on the camera and took a few shots with different F stop. It turns out that one with smaller aperture is not very sharp. I guess it's because the shutter speed is not fast enough and/or my tripod is not as strong as startrack's 国货精品. 
Still haven't got the perfect shots. I think I get obsessed with the idea. Not good.
I think I know my problem: I used AE lock button as focus and it does not work well as using AF button in this case. Hopefully I still have chance to try something new.

Have to admit that my biggest obsession for now is Owl. Saw the beautiful sunlight this morning and decide to go out to look for Owl again.
Drove to March Valley Road and on my way in saw a familiar car passing by me head-on. Not surprisingly, Gang was sitting in their and he was so busy scanning for Owls and did not even look at my direction.
No luck this time with a round trip. Then I decided to explore Dunrobin area where many sighting of owls are reported. 功夫不负有心人, saw a car on the side of the road and a guy is aming his camera onto the woods. This guy is using a Nikon D100 with a telescope/convertor on a tripod. That's about 1000 mm according to him. I looked at his view finder, he can fill in the full frame even very far away. What a lucky guy.
He took a few shots and decided to move on in searcing for snowy owls. I, on the other hand, do not want to lose a chance of shooting this baby and dream of getting a good shot of owl-in-flight.
But first of all, let's see how close I can get.
