Hi, it dosen't sound like a bad car, its pertty good, for that price try to get to $5000, but $5500 is a price u should take if he won't go any lower. The brake will be fixed so that is good, after everything is done make sure you test how hard it can brake and see if its fixed to a very good condition. A 3.0L engine will eat up alot of gas, should be a V6 so that will get u a not so great milage. 1994 shouldn't be that much, but is still going to cost you alittle more than other. Be sure to also check if it takes premium fuel only, then its going to cost you even more. I'm not sure how big the tank is, but it might cost you $50 everytime u fill it up cause usally camry are preium fuel cars with V6 and 3.0L.

Matrix is smaller than caliber, but the engine should be far better. I drive a jetta myself, its great comfort and very good relibility. Mazda 3 ius cheaper but very good, many good reviews about, i drove it before, very good handling, hyundai has a few good cars, accent, eletra are all winning prices. They are mostly the same price, jetta might be alittle more cause its euro, hyundia is the cheaper one, mazda 3 is the middle with very good options, any those cars should be good, just that i dont like dodge because of their reputation in the past years.

Tank size is how big the gas tank in ur car is, civics usally is about 45liters, accords might be 50liters im not sure. And there are 3 different type of fuel, 87(normal) 89(slightly better) and 91(preium) there are more like 93 and 94 and 95 but norally accords would not need that high, but i do believe it needs 91(preium fuel) which is about 90cents/liter thesedays. Now V6 mean 6 cyclider, 3.0L is the capasitry of the eninge, the bigger it is it will need to burn more fuel to give you that extra power, so your gas bill will cost more.

I dont know what is inside of that van, depends on the options it has with the van, it can be anywhere from $10000 to $16000, because its honda it won't go down with price that much, and because I don't know what options it has, the price rang is very large

reliable, hond, mazda, toyota, nissan any JDM car and high priced cars are very reliable, but mostly japanes cars are more fuel efficent and reliable.

98 or newer, as you metioned the mazda 626 is very comfortable and relaible, honda civics are around 8000 7000 range, there are corrolas from toyota, and a few 2001-2002ish nissan sentras also avalibe,. those are very nice cars around that range. civic is 1.6-1.7L nissan sentra is 2.0 and toyota corrola is about 1.8-2.0 i think. Mazda protege is about 1.6-1.8, also very reliable

mazda 626 is nice, seemed to be reliable and somthing alot of asians are thinking of buying, its bigger than civics and sentras,really reliable, but alot of driving here is not really that good. Mazda 626 i believe the early ones are made in japan and bought over, i dont remember what year, those are still very good worksmanship. The later ones are made here under dodge, so there are a few things that they did that wernt so good, then later on mazda made sure their cars can stand up to their name and fixed everything, mostly everything. Engine size is alittle bigger, more gas is needed if u are doing alot of city driving. other than that the car is very safe and a good buy

Sorry I didn't have internet net for a while, sorry for the late reply.

American made cars around that price you can get a few cars, sunfire, dodge sx2.0 many many more, but i really don't recommend you buy any of those cars. A sunfire is $13000 cash brand new at their delaership during summer, and dodge is about $12000 brand new, by the low price you know its somting not trusted.

$8000 can get you 1996-2002 honda civics, same year toyota corrlas, and mazdas etc, those cars are all lasting cars.

Or if you don't like japanese cars, buy korean, hyundia accents, elentra, those can be around that price, kia has won a few awards now too so they are not bad.

Hi, welcome to Ottawa.

Actually driving FWD car is not bad, everyone told me Ottawa was so cold car can't start and its so hard to drive, i have had no problems driving at all. I drive a FWD car and I have no problems at all.

Now 4WD/AWD cars are better of course, X5 is very high class, but don't forget about its weight, the more weight it has it takes the engine to send more power to the wheels and over pushing of the gas could cause the tires to spin in the winter, and when it does get going, you have to smoothly press the brakes also because more weight carrys the SUV more duing the stop.

The SUV is fine, just drive slowly and according to the conditions of the road, more accidents happen in the winter to bigger Vans and SUVs because people sometime not used to it on the snow.

If you you have enough money to buy that SUV, may I suggest you buy a sedan, a nice comfortable family BMW sedan and buy a small car like the honda fit, or toyota yaris or hyundia accent to use in the winter, those small cars is alot more handlable in the winter than an SUV.
