帮妹妹询问一下渥太华高中学校的情况

我现在在渥太华读大学，所以对高中不是很了解，我妹妹明年想来渥太华上高中，我想请大家推荐几所比较好的说英语的高中，而且我听说这里高中是地区划分，我现在住在Riverside(Smyth)这块，请问一下这一块的高中是哪个啊，教学质量好吗？如果想上不在自己住的地区的高中，有没有什么别的办法？

还有这里的私利学校怎么样，要住校吗？有没有什么好的推荐，因为我妹妹是刚从国内来，所以直接上私立学校住校好吗？ 谢谢大家了！！！

私立学校不一定非要住校。。。

你妹要是英语真的那么牛，性格又非常开朗，一来就去私立学校应该也没什么问题。。。

如果不是的话还是找个esl好，中国人多些的高中上，孩子估计能感觉不是那么鱼儿出了水的恐惧和孤单。。。

Well, my personal reference is as follows:

1. Lisgar: Located in downtown. Best academic high school in Ottawa with the long history

2. Colonel By: Located in Orleans. Well known for its IB program, which is recognized by many universities in United States. But your kid(s) has to finish four years courses(OCDSB) in three years; at the last year, the students will take pre-University courses

3. Canterbury: Best arts high school in Canada, not really good in acadamic program.

4. Earl of March: Located in Kanata. Fast-growing high school last few years. Students are from middle class families in Kanata. Like Lisgar, it is well known on the accomplishment of Acadamics.

5. Ashbury: Beautiful campus located in Rockliffe, which used to be richest city in Great Ottawa area. The school runs IB program, and it has very good relationship with US universities. If you think your kid(s) is a material for Harvard University, it worth you to give a try.
