I just went there this afternoon, they have around 30 copies gathering dust there, I think I'll wait a bit until the summer, hopefully they will clear them at a discount

今天在Merival Costco买到了，回家看了一下，很不错。我家既有1080P up conversion的DVD player，也有普通的DVD player，由于节目源本身清晰度已经很高，所以感觉用普通的DVD player放出的效果反而比1080P up conversion的还要好。更重要的是我那普通的DVD player当年从国内买回来的，有光学口，1080P up conversion的没有光学口，但有数字口，可音响效果和光学口相比真是差了不少。从光口出来连上我的功放和音响，效果真叫棒！

如果你用ＨＤＭＩ接口做DVD-up convesion的话，你ＤＶＤ的环绕，5.1都会自动播放到电视里。然后用电视机的输出到音响，效果是一样的。ＨＤＭＩ里有各种制式的audio信号。

此外你的ＤＶＤ里应该有digital audio setup, HDMI audio, Sound mode 等选项。

你的功放太老了。新的功放都有hdmi接口，与Optical接口效果是一样的。
