my name is XXX, from China.
I thought this is ok. If you like to know sb, your name and where you are from are the most basic information.
Some of them you may like to talk and sb else you may not like to talk. So this is normal.
3. 课堂上中国人,基本多说:my name is XXX, pls call me XXXX (英文名)。
I don't like it. Anyway, people have their right to do sth such as to have an english name. At least this is not offensive.
If you have some chinese colleague and she/he may prefer to speak english (in office), I think it is still normal. However, if you both talk in English when you meet at soemwhere else, such as shopping mall, this is strange!
I have worked with some chinese colleagues in different companies in diffferent countries. The only exception is when I worked in Calgary. Two of our chinese colleagues prefer to speak english even not in office. I believe I am a nice man, but to be honest, I feel it was disgusting!
- sorry cannot type in chinese.
