Many Christians are Christians because they grew up in a Christian environment and are brainwashed. Often it is not their own choice. Were they born in a Muslim family, they would believe in Islam. They do not change their religions because they think they belong to this one. Do Chinese belong to it too? I am not sure because I have not tried and will never try either.

As long as a person is "brainwashed" into a great scientist, a peace-maker, a man with a great passion for his fellow human beings, I am ok with that. Actually, I would encourage that.

Everyone has a build-in value system, which is "intalled" in the early years of his/her life. This value system will influence his or her whole life because he/she will make reference to it throughout his/her life. It is the reference based on which one decides what is right what is wrong.

Then, how to determine if a value system is good? Well, according to Jesus, we should base our judgement on the outcome:

Luke 6:43: For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

The character of peoples who are "brainwashed" by a value system is the best testimony of the merits of that system.

There are enough great scientists which are not brainwashed. This does not have a lot to do with any religion. Think in a logical and normal way.

Jewish people think Jesus is a crazy man and even had him killed. However, they have the most successful scientists and businessmen in the world. Do you want to be Jewish? Well, you can never be because you are not accepted.

they have different Gods. It is too naive to think that intelligence has a lot to do with religions.

The sun is always there. However, I would assume it is very difficult for some beings, for instance, a unicellular bacterium, to image that there is something called sun. Even for us human beings, sun has very different meanings at different times. In fact, there is no sun in a rainy day or in the night unless you know the "science"!

I guess buddhism has already existed before the birth the Christ, however, we didn't hear of any great Buddhist scientist ever! Greater history or brain wash cannot explain why the Christian scientists are correctly mind-setted.
