It is a pleasure to inform you that the Graduate Committee of the Department of
Economics, has recommended you file to the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctorate
Studies for admission to the PhD program as of September 2002 and for an Admiss
ion Scholarship.

Should you receive the scholarship, the Department of Economics will offer you a
total of $7700.00 in teaching or research assistantship distributed over two te
rms during the 2002-2003 academic year

Should our recommendation be accepted, the FGPS will contact you to confirm your
admission and, if applicable, to offer you an admission scholarship.

Admision scholarship is normally based on academic standing. However it is fairly easy to be awarded an admission scholarship for doctoral degree programs. This offer also seemed to promise you a TA or RA position for 2 terms for a total of $7700.00 if you accept the offer.
