上周末看了一场好戏"狗魅情缘", 但不料这里竟有那么多恶意的,甚至人身攻击的贴子。令人惊讶!有点看不过去。为什么就不能用善良的心宽待我们的 剧团、义工呢?
(Excuse me, I am not good at typing in Chinese, so I will type in English)
We may have different tastes, but respect is the basis on which any meaningful conversation can go on, isn't it? As a drama fan, I enjoyed the show; nevertheless, at the 8.29 after-show gala, I also aired my doubts about some of the plots, particularly the sudden switch from parting to reunion in the end, which was of course warm and pleasant, yet abrupt.
You may like or dislike some of the shows, and you can put forward suggestions like classifications, etc, but please be nice and polite in your comments. Otherwise, it will not be constructive, will it? We Chinese should be proud of our long history and courtesy. We are tolerant and nice people, aren't we?
I didn't know that this was a non-profit show; I didn't know the staff members had mostly a tough living here, having to live in friends' houses, and I didn't know how hard it was to sell to the small Chinese community here, etc. I was deeply moved. If I had known that, I would have done my part to contribute. When the troupe was so polite to speak highly of our Ottawa audience, I felt my face red and was sorry for our poor treatment to our guests. We are a hospitable nation. When guests come from afar, shouldn't we treat them with respect and hospitality?
Also, I have high respect for volunteers. I myself volunteer a lot each year from translation/interpretation to tax-filing for those in need. Truly it's not always pleasant even if I offer free help. Some people just like to complain. But as the idiom says: selfless people are fearless. 心底无私天地宽.
We Chinese should unite, help, and encourage each other, not to fight in a vicious way against each other, particularly in this small Chinese community here. Right?
I know I may incur attacks here again after this posting. Someones like to curse/fight. Come what may, I still go my way!
Thanks. May God bless all of us fighting for the dignity of life!
