Urgent help needed! 收到税务局的信,新房的GST/HST rebate was denied, because "not filed as requested forms"。 我并没有申请过这个rebate, 大概是建筑商申请de, 我应该通知建筑商吗? 他们会要我补交这笔钱吗? Appreciate any advice!

Check with your builder. I remember the builder removed the amount of the rebate from our final list, they claimed the rebate on our behalf.
 
I agree. Most case the builder will apply the rebate. And in your sales agreement should address tax rebate.

If the tax rebate should process by you, then the builder has to give you the information. Without them, you cannot do it yourself.

I remember hst rebate only apply to primary residence. If its for investment purpose, it doesn't qualify for the rebate. Please check with Cra.
 
That's just my impression. Pls chk cra documents to confirm.

You may can use the CRA form GST524E to do a rough calculation. As a investor, you are Type 6 in Section C. You need to calculate your rebate amount on Section D part I and II. It is very straightforward.;)
