My point is: why would someone think that a Chinese-Canadian lawyer cannot do litigation? I entered into this discussion with only one intention: let us think first if we, Chinese, sometimes look down on ourselves?
I can take any kind of criticism. I am not complaining or mad at Neverever for saying what he/she had said. I just thought that it would be a good topic for us to think about since we are talking about "Discrimination".
By the way, regarding this case, since it is a criminal charge, all court proceeding will have to follow the court administration procedure. For example, the first court date will be called "First Appearance", at which time, the accused has to say if he is guilty or not in front of a judge. From there, the court will decide if this case will go straightly to court room #5 for final disposition of the judge's decision or go through Case Conference, pre-trial, mediation, etc. The Crown Attorney's office will need time to prepare its case. Our friend in issue will be called to be the witness for the Crown. Despite the fact how urgent we feel, the court will have to go through its own channel.
I apologize for not be able to use Chinese as this machine I am using does not have a Chinese sofeware.
