现在也有律师非常不专业的。我买房的时候,卖家律师都没搞清楚卖家身份(已经不是加拿大税务居民很多年了),还是我们和卖家经济聊天时catch到的。交接前一周才发现的。我的律师一怒之下扣了她25%房款,那婆娘还叽叽歪歪的,她不知道我们救了她一把吗!

救了卖家律师,因为卖家不是税务居民之后,出售的房产要交captain gain的,卖家想隐瞒身份(他第一次回答他律师说他是PR),这个税CRA可以问买家追讨,买家一定会把卖家律师告了的,而且必赢。
这25%后来我律师直接交到CRA,卖家来年报税可以退还不少。
