所以这就是学校狡猾之处,我是今天直接从MBA program的director那得知的,他上课时明确的告诉我们学校要取消

大致看了一下龙无忌链接的报告，实在是法语水平有限，稀里糊涂只能看个大概，但没有发现要CANCEL英语PROGRAM的内容。一个报告好像是提出了两个解决方案，说是需要进一步调查研究确定，另一个报告就调查研究了，和学校各部门的人讨论，并做了各方面统计，结论却是上述方案不可行，所以建议以后招生要求法语能达到FUNCTIONAL的水平。我想知道我们的消息来源究竟是那个文件，起码我们得看到原文件，分析清楚以后再想对策，知己知彼才行呀！

MPM的一些同学也直接从他们的教授那里得知此事.

说实话,其实这件事对我没什么影响,我基本上事最后一个term了,但觉得这种事情发生在加拿大实在荒唐,而且我们少数族裔和弱势群体的权利一点也得不到保护. 而且取消了对我们怎么来说也不是什么好事

It seems that their major reason for cancellation the English program is based on the high cost.
It's not a good idea asking for more English service.
Being bilingual is too expensive!

What suggestion I got from a teacher is that:

1.Just raise it as a Human Rights and Discrimination issue. That way everyone will be scared of. In any other ways no one would care it.

2.Try to emphasis that Gatineau is part of capital region, where both language programs should be offered. There is approximately 20% anglophone in Gatineau, who have the right to be educated in an offical language.

3.Try NOT to emphasis your Chinese student background to avoid that people get an impression of only Chinese students being affected.

4.Try to get the media involved in. ( I know CBC radio has had an interview with our previous director in MPM and Mr. Chen Q. H.. We need to get more journalists involved in.)

5.Distribute this news to China, tell your friends who intend to invest in Canada that Gatineau and Quebec is not a good place to invest in.

6.The mayor of Gatineau definitely knows that the decision is wrong. He should voice but he doesn`t do so this time. The reason is that he is afraid of the pressure from frankphone.

p.s.: some people might know who the teacher I mention above is. Please do not refer to the name of this teacher into any actions

Every current students will be affected even though the current students will be allowed to finish their English programs. It is just something like: you got a Master`s degree from a university and then the university was cloased. Your diploma is still valid, but it has depreciated!!

刚刚得到消息，魁北克大学GATINEAU(HULL)分校董事会将要停止全部的英语program(包括MBA和PMP-项目管理硕士学位)。（在校的学生可以继续完成他的剩余课程，但不知道学校会如何安排这些学生）这个意见将要在3周后变成最后的决定。这对我们，无论是在校生还是准备申请到这个学校读书的都是一个坏消息。

周六（24号）下午5：00在braul校区自助餐厅。将召开会议并组建一个委员会。商讨并开始行动如何争取我们的权利，阻止学校取消英语的program.

4）虽然此事件不是单独针对中国人的，但事实上中国同胞是最大的受害者;
5）建议同胞先积极联合其他英语族群写封公开信，并要求直接与DUBE副校长对话，看结果再商讨下一步对策。我觉得媒体和主流社会是很关注这一事件的，因为它触及到加拿大多元文化社会的整体构架以及少数族裔的平等权宜。有些同胞切莫认为此事对己无直接关联，“事不关己，高高挂起”甚至有的网友还幸灾乐祸看热闹。我不认为此事是一个单独的事件，如果今天我们保持沉默（这正是他们求之不得的），明天不知还会发生什么。黑人在北美经济地位不会比华人强，但政治地位远比我们强得多，这就说明，合法权益仅靠一纸法律条文是远远不够的，还得靠我们坚持不懈地去争取！
