请教：LCD TV

可惜看不懂英文。但如果按照楼上的表格，家里看电视的距离如果3.3米，那么在加拿大的商店里买不到合适大小的电视机。 要买也只能买52寸以上720P的，不能买1080P的！

商家当然希望你花钱越多越好。

1. I just saw somebody said setting up home theatre is expensive than we expected, any reason?

2. Did anyone know what's rough cost of installing (not mounting to the wall) and wiring the LCD and Home Theatre?

3. Is extended waranty necessary?

Any comments on these questions would be highly appreciated!

(1) I couldn't see any extra cost.

(2)Wiring means to run the wires in the walls to prevent them from being seen. Actually if you choose the kind of home theater system with wireless rear speakers, it won't be a problem.

(3) It is definitely a crap.

同等价位的话应当是Samsung = LG > Toshiba > Sharp > Sony。
同等型号的话应当是Samsung >> LG > Toshiba > Sony > Sharp.
在LCD领域，很难有对手可以赶上Samsung了，面板高档，软件一流，图像处理器超快，价格紧盯LG。
大多数倭商还沉浸在CRT的成功之中，至今没有回过味来，在电视领域，倭货要赶超只有靠下一代的LED了，就目前进度来看，仅少数倭商在LED上略有优势，但前景悬得很。LED的关键是软件，这对中国来说是机遇，对倭货来说是梦魇。
国货则： 没有面板，尽管各地在拼命上面板线，但投产就落后的局面是无可改变的；软件几乎无任何优势和特长；处理器能慢就慢，价格居高不下，前途的没有。

这我不同意~BRAVIA的亮度对比度实际看起来要比SAMSUNG好很多~V系列,W系列和Z系列都是色彩的佼佼者. XBR系列更是顶级..XBR10新款SAMSUNG是比不上的~

Respectful disagree with shoppingcart, 42 inch is definitely too small for that distance. With 42inch, You won't be able to enjoy most of the movies as much as 52inch for sure. (good that shoppingcart doesn't read english .)

But I also highly disagree with futureshop's chart. 52inch for 1.4-2.25m with a 1080P? If you sit 1.4 meter away from a 52inch TV, within 30 min you might already feel sick when watching an action movie.

to new moon:
1. installation is expensive only if you want to mount your tv on the wall, it involves drilling holes in your wall, running wire behind the wall, and possibly drill hole and run wire through floor and etc. But if you don't do those, read the installation guide and you should be able to do it yourself.

这我不同意~BRAVIA的亮度对比度实际看起来要比SAMSUNG好很多~V系列,W系列和Z系列都是色彩的佼佼者. XBR系列更是顶级..XBR10新款SAMSUNG是比不上的~

Sony的面板都是Samsung供应的，哈倭要有个客观尺度。

LG还行，但属于第二梯队的，关键是面板差一些。

Samsung, Sony, Sharp属于LCD电视第一梯队的。主要是Samsung和Sharp的面板好。把本来不入流的Sony也列入第一梯队，是因为其使用了Samsung面板。Sony在使用Samsung面板之前，其LCD电视在日本市场基本无人问津。 Toshiba的太差，过两年停止生产，甚至倒闭都有可能，主要是研发投入不够。

Sharp的面板不错，主要是由于其开发LCD面板历史最悠久，经验积累的最多。但其面板已经被后来者Samsung超过。

说到软件，日本确实不行。
