It seems to be really weird to have valvetronic with turbo. Valvetronic is to control the lift open for valve at different engine speed. To my understanding, at the moment of turbo kick in where air is compressed and fixed with fuel, then burnt, which is a sudden increase in engine speed, it's almost impossible to predict or adjust the valve for that moment.
That's a reason most manufacture with Variable Valve Timing don't like turbo. IE, honda's Vtec, and that's why BMW used NA for so many year just to keep their VNOS and Valvetronic.
To shorten my opinion, Valve timing adjustment don't go along with Turbo. Unless BMW will change its design of VNOS to 2 stage valve lift like posche did. Or like VW's advanced valve timing.
I hope BMW will have a solution to it although I don't like turbo.
