EVEN IF, i mean even if, majority of house purchasers in town are Asian (Chinese, Indian and Bangladeshis..., who likes to own lands to feel safe) in the coming 10 years, how much do you expect your kids to earn after graduation in 10 years? If younger generation are not earning 200k a year in the future, how could they afford those million-dollar townhouses presently owned by smart landlords in the village?
When an Ottawain townhouse is for sale at 1 million one day, how much do you expect a pound of tomato cost?
When the majority of native/young ppl are becoming vulnerable to rate hikes, I mean when the NATIVE house buyers could face foreclosure when the central bank raises the Prime to a certain level, do you believe that the market in North America is as impotent as it is in China (no correction at all)?
When the market is full of smell of restless greed and sweetest dreams of making another half a million in 10 years on a tiny lot of land, I have to tell you one truth: majority of the baby-boomers are retiring in the coming 5-10 years.
In the meantime, 3 scenarios to support those sweetest dreams: the house owners sell their million-dollar properties to other house owners to have fun, or, those retired elderly prefer to stay in remote suburb mansions for fresh air until death, or, China will be allowed to buy out the whole Canada using the super-strong Yuan on hand.
