其实您说的不无道理。当一个人“痴迷”于自己的信仰时，信心是可以排斥所有理由的。我们有法轮功学员为证，有佛教徒为证，当然也有无数的基督徒为证。其原因，在于信仰的标的是世界的本源与归属，而世界的本源和归属本是我们这些身处这个世界因而限于这个世界的人所无法真正了解的。这，就是夏虫不可以语冰也这句话的意思了。

不过，我们是人而不是夏虫，我们虽然见不到世界的起始和世界的末了，但是我们知道这个世界有起始有末了并且很想知道这起始与末了（为什么呢？这本身就是个好问题。）。这时，我们就只能靠信心了。而信心一旦建立，它是排斥理性的，因为它所关注的根本就是理性所无法企及的。

幸运的是，我们信仰的标的（即我们凭着信心接受的对真正世界起源的描述）的真伪虽然无法验证，信仰的果子却是可以验证的。这果子，一是一个信仰所衍生的价值体系，二是一个信仰所造就的人，三是一个信仰所造就的文明。

说到这里，我想请您注意一个事实，1）基督教是所有普世价值，包括民主、自由、平等、人权、博爱、和平、宽恕、求真 .....的源头；2）无数伟大的政治家、科学家、哲学家、思想家、艺术家、经济学家、资本家、慈善家都是虔诚的基督徒； 3）基督教造就了伟大的基督教文明，基督教改造了整个人类。

Well, as I have shown in the other poster, your claims are all faith-based too. The difference between you and me is that I have no problem to admit my faith is (of course) faith-based but you are at denial as you have to.

My nonblief in diesm ( not just your christian god) is to your nonbelief in the existence of Santa. You don't need a faith to disbelieve the nonexistence of the jolly candy-distributor.

While there is apparently no point in repeating what have been articulated pretty clearly once and once again, I found us humans do have the habit of doing it and doing with joy of some sort. It makes us feel more comfortable about what we choose to BELIEVE, I guess.

I didn't CHOOSE to belieive the nonexistence of any forms of gods( yours included) nor do I CHOOSE to believe the nonexistence of Santa, Unicorn, or the big green monster that hides in the children's closet. If you did CHOOSE to believe the nonexistence of Santa etc, I do understand why you CHOOSE to believe in god ( specifically, christian god).
