Argee. As this article not only attack the launch of manned spaceship, but also intervene the internal affair of China such as Tibet, Hongkong, Macao and Taiwan. The Chinese embassy shouldn't sit silent in the capital to allow such article appearing in the newspaper, especially it's right before the Canada prime minster visit China again.

Here is what I said:

Dear Madam/Sir

After I read the editorial "China syndrome" published on Ottawa Citizen, 17 October 2003, I have to say that the author, Mr. John Robson doesn't state the facts and he doesn't know much about China's history. The article is full of biased and prejudiced comments. He said "It has brutally occupied Tibet for half a century, it has just retaken Hong Kong and Macau". He even doesn't know Tibet had been within China for thousands of years, and Hongkong and Macau were and are China territorial. The way he spoke about "retaken" reflects his sour colony mood.

China is much open and much cooperative than before, whose progress in economy and technology will benefit the whole world. Do Canadians want to do business with a country with booming market and tons of opportunities, or do canadians want to assume a vague "cold war enemy"?

I was borned in China, and now I am working for a Canadian Hi-tech company. Almost 1/3 of its products are now sold to China. Everytime when my boss came back from China, he brought back contracts and revenues. He told sales guys that "the more goodwills you show to your chinese customer, the more contracts you will get." Does Mr Robson try to convince Canadian politicians to separate China from International community? Does Mr. Robson want to risk tons of contracts which should belong to Canadian companies?

Some chinese customers prefers canadian products because Chinese has a strong good feeling on Canadians. Kind chinese people still remember one famous canadian doctor who joined with Chinese fighting with Japanese in World War II. As for the threat from China military, I believe what China can do now is only protecting itself. Does China send any soldier overseas? Does China use its "power" to push others to adopt Chinese kind of value? Why can't people on the world respect with each other's value?

According to United Nation Charters, the out-space belongs to the whole human beings. It was American's and Russian's merit to send their poeple to the out-space sky before. Chinese people also deserve this merit now for their hard working. Why are some people here uncomfortable with chinese's achievements now? Fairplay and be a gentleman, please!

Co-operation is much better than confliction. I do wish Mr.Robson could go to China to take a look to see what chinese is doing right now.

Again, I wish Mr.John Robson retrieve what he said, and make judgement after he really understands history and current world.

Best regards

Good point. The Birtish has no right to argue that one has the right to protect his country from spearation, as an old colonist, it launched too many wars to grab the land from other countries in the past.

past is past

The main point is if China can afford to send a man in space,
they should not be given aid money.....
That's the only shit he say there...
Everything else is bullshit and addons.

Space Program a billion dollar program..
If people need help
why engage in this type of program?(This motherfu<ker doesn't know anything)
That's the point he is trying to get across to the reader..
The rest of shit he is saying is just blah blah blah bullshit...

“We congratulate China's first taikonaut and the scientists and technicians who made his trip to outer space happen. But we're not very happy with his government for sending Yang Liwei into space.”

Shame on you!!!

Superiority and inferiority complex

"Big Ass" mentioned that our demand for apology is a sign of inferiority complex.

What made John Robson write that editorial? Inferiority complex? Superiority complex? Sour complex? Green complex?

I think we are enjoying quite a superiority complex! And kick some serious ass!

:D

2) 反击他们对TIBET(西藏)的污蔑.
