I feel that Sens lack the passion for the cup, maybe most of these guys from Europe, even their skills are pretty good, they lack the passion of Canadian kids for the cups. In the playoff, you win not because the number of shoot on goal, but you take that very few chances to score. Leafs are doing better than Sens, they have more people in the defence (that's why Sens doesn't have many chances to score even they outshoot leafs). When leafs get the buck, they are very fast in attacking and relying on their stars' skills (like Sundin, Roberts etc) to score.

I feel Sens will lose to leafs if nothing changes in this aspect. The coach should be blamed for the loss. Martin is too quiet like a prof, unlike Pat Quinn, who is very aggressive like his player. The cup belongs to the wild team like leafs, not the gentle team like Senators. You know that if you saw Sundin's determination when he scored the 2nd goal in the 3rd game.

Still want to say, go sens go, and wish my judgement is wrong.

I am sorry buddy, but I disagree with every point you made here.

1. "they lack the passion of Canadian kids for the cups"?
As professional hocky players, the altimate dream is to win NHL playoff and claim the stanley cup, and this dream is not any different for players originated from other part of the world. Sens were critisized for not having the heart pervious years, however I do see lots of passion and determination from this serie(except game 5), Alfersson, Hossa, Havlet all played like they are truely hunger for winning. BTW, the key leaf players such as Sundin, Molginy are from Europe as well.

2. "they have more people in the defence (that's why Sens doesn't have many chances to score even they outshoot leafs)."?
Leafs and Sens play the same type of game, and it's called for-cheking, sometimes you feel leafs have more defender because the puck is on the toronto half all the time, and Ottawa seemed to have less of player in defense because redden and chara joint attack and were caught in toronto rush.

3. "The coach should be blamed for the loss."?
The only game Ottawa was outcoached was game five, other than that, ottawa outplayed, outshot and outcoached Toronto. Jaque Martine is one of the best coaches in NHL, and the coach should never been blamed if the players decide not to play(game 5)

no hard feelings, just my two cents!

4. Be effective on powerplay. Make simple play.

5. Avoid taking unnecessary penalty

我靠,真他妈的不容易。一进overtime,我就觉得Sens赢定了,Sens大部分都是二十几岁的小伙子,体力比Leafs强得多。Chara(是这么写吗)是功臣,否则不会有overtime。

Ed Belfour has played another 2 superub games in a row. I don't believe he can keep playing that sharp all the time. Game 7 will be his Waterloo. Let's see how Sens slaughter him on Tuesday.

Go SENS Go !!!

Anyone wants to watch the game together?

I won't be able to have the access to a TV that day :S

thanks

Absolutely, now that Sens have won a hard fought battle. The momentum of the serie has shifted to Sens' favor. With its captain out of the lineup(listed day to day), Leafs really have much but a fatigue team.

Go SENS Go

Here is the winning strategy for:

To do against Leafs:
- checking hard on Joe Nieuwendyk, he is only 2 bumps away for retiring for the season;
- blocking hard on Gary Roberts, don't let his body pass even the puck slips through;
- banning hard on Tie Domi, better on his face :)
- intercepting Brian Leetch and Bryan McCabe, this pair did a lot damages to the opponents;
- blinding Belfour and always preparing to make continous shots on him 3 or 4 times. He is not a talented goalie at all. What he did against Sens was totally ridiculous;
- special babysitting for Milgony and Sudin;

To do for Sens self:
- playing Antoine Vermette rather than Jason Spezza. He seems more effective than Jason when playing Leafs;
- putting more defense in the middle where mostly Leafs break through;
- interfereing Leafs' set-up in penalty killing instead of waiting in front of the goal;
- Using Hossa and Havlet's speed to make Leafs's defense worry about their back court;

I am sure a lot more can be added. But Sens will win game 7 if they can execute 70% of my strategies :). Well, Jacques must have known it very well now. It seems to me the execution of the plan is the key.
