The Ottawa Senators will not do any better than last year if they don't get a better goalie. but probably they will lose the good players like Hossa and Havlat before they can get a goalie like Theodore. even the Flames' goalie is better than Lalime. Lalime wasted all the hard work by the team and he owes the team a season and probably two Stanley Cups.

one cheap goal in a game like this is already too much and Lalime had 2. it is heart breaking to see the expression from the eyes of Alfie, Hossa, White and Chara at the end of the game.

Goalie is one problem. The coach should also be replaced. Ottawa has no solution to solve Belfour. Overshoot means nothing, Canadian scored their first goal in their 1st shot in 3rd period after being overshoot by Bruins. This team will only have hope after big changes. Hossa and Havlet are only good players, but not the best, especially in the playoff. Their skills are oversdowed by leaf's determination and close check. Leafs got very good experience players (even though old) like Belfour, Nie .. (scored twice tonight) who all played in Dallas stars before and won the cup. Getting Bondra and that defence man from NY Ranger proves little gain.
Martin should put Prosake right at the beginning of the playoff. It's a terrible mistake to put Lalime and he has to swallow the bitter result now.
As I said, Sens lacks the passion and the experience for the cup. The coach lasks effective stategy to solve good goalie. They still do the same thing as they did before and no wonder they lose again.
Leafs deserve the win and wish they can solve the flyers this time.

Well, Lalime is the one to be blamed. But on the other side ,why Alfie, Hossa, White, Chara, couldn't score, that's another reason for Sens loss. I don't blame the players but I feel that coach should take the responsibility. Leafs take few chances to score and in the defence, they just outnumber Sens and give Sens no chances. Overshoot in this situation will only get things worse, as you tried more, and couldn't get a goal, the more frustrated you will be. Sens did exactly that, a still young team.
Patty Lalime overall had a good series, however, he will never be a money goalie. Because he doesn't know when to shut the door, I can't believe of all the games that he played, he chooses to play his worst game in Game 7.
Goalies like Grant Fuhr, Patrick Roy, Martin Brodeur, and Ed Belfour, they know how to perform at their best when the teams need them the most.
Although, Jacque Martin has done the best he could, his days in Ottawa is numbered. Maybe he has done the best he could for this team. I am sure Muckler will replace him with other coach. Furthermore, SENS doesn't has enough Canadian players as Roberts and Neuwendyke etc. Alfredsson as a team capitain, played with frustration, which has influenced the other players' performance.

hockey is a team sport so you don't need to have the best players to win the Cup. otherthan the goalies, i mean two of them, the Senators is good enough to wint the Cup. they lost to New Jersey for the same reason, the goalie. in playoff time, the goalie is important because he can affect the confidence of the entire team. but Lalime can only reduce the confidence of other players by giving cheap goals.
1993, the canadiens didn't have a good team, not as good as this Senators team, but they won the Cup, why? because of Patrick Roy. The Senators have been in the playoff for 6 years out of 11 years of the franchise, you think they don't have experiences?
i hope the flyers sweep the leafs. a team like the leafs won't be even in the playoff if they don't have Belfour.

they need to change the goalie, not the coach. at least Martin doesn't bitch about everything, like pat did after every game.
