Conservatives deputy leader Peter McKay said that the Tories would consider forming an alliance with the seperatist party Bloc Quebecois. Does that worry anyone?

Will there be a big problem if most of us don't live in Quebec? Additionally, in case the separatists succeed, at least the federal government will stop pumping billions federal money into Quebec and enforcing billingualism (Most Chinese Canadians don't speak French fluently anyway.)

Yes it would be a big problem if Quebec becomes independent. I don't want to present my passport when visiting my parents in Montreal; I don't want my future kids to apply a visa to study at McGill Univeristy. Why do you suppose so many poeple from across Canada went to the unity rally right before the 1995 Quebec Referendum?
Instead of focusing solely on materialistic gains, please take a moment to think about this question: "What do I want to see this country in 50 years?"
30 some years ago, Trudeau had the vision of a "just society", and this had fundamentally changed a whole generation in Canadian history. Can our political leaders today lead us to a better life in this new century?
