草坪上有很多看上去像Ground ivy的野草,怎么办?

蔓延的很厉害,和好草搀杂在一起，是不是只能用killex一点一点的喷.有没有办法可以大面积清除它们?用手拔好不好?担心损伤了好草的根.另外用killex是不是就喷一次即可?还是隔几天就一次,直到野草死掉?谢谢！

Killex 对幼草效果好,长成的草困难一些. 还是拔了吧,补上草籽.

要做的事
1) 每年5月15左右注意天气预报.要是有连几天下雨,就赶在下雨前把1/3包的肥料撒出去. 要是有书本大的死草就翻了拿草皮补上. 有些树荫下总长不好的地方撒一把草子. 然后等老天替你浇水.

请问这以前要不要剪草？

unless it is in hot summer, cut it anytime when it is needed. frequent cut also reduce the weeds.

Is there a way to get rid of the moss? Thanks.

Moss usually is a problem where a spot is too wet, shady and soil has no nitrogen in it. Grass can't compete with moss as this situation.
There are some chemical you can buy in Home depot to kill moss. But better way is improve the drainage of that spot and fertilize it, and seed it with shady mix grass. If grass grows well, weed can’t survive.

有较大一片草坪死掉,是补草籽省事点还是补草皮?补草籽的话是现在做吗?还是可以等到5月初?

较大一片草坪死掉,草皮省事点. 补草籽四,五月均可.

用草皮还要把死草挖掉,土挖松,草皮 压实.

关键是水. 无雨早晚浇水.

It is always helpful to add some soil.
Seeds needs to touch the soil. If you rake the lawn a bit, allow seed to touch the soil then there is no need to dig all dead grass out.

四月快结束了，又重读了一遍楼主的帖子，总结春天要做的事情如下：

用Killex除野草，喷在野草的叶子上。太大的野草用手拔掉，补草籽或草皮。
撒1/3包的fertilizer with weed control。这个可以现在撒吗？还是要等到5月15号？

fertilizer 不小心撒在草地上了，一堆，我用铲子匀开了一点，但是那几棵草上还是明显多了，怎么办？会死吗？

never use fertilizer with weed control, never! never! never!

This is why ontario will ban all pesticides use. Killex is great selective herbicides. It is very safe for human, but people start to abuse it. It is sprayed to whole lawn or mix with fertilizer to use on whole lawn even only few weed is there. Table salt could be a poison when there is too much, how about a chemical. You don't need to use on the place there is no weed. It would kill the weed but not preventing it. Hand spray individual weed only, it only take very small amount.

And fertilizer with weed control would kill young grass too. If you use it with seeding, it is a waste time.


After seeding and laying sod,if no rain, water them.
