北美的telecom guys那么害怕竞争,怪不得对huawei恨之入骨
 
我也恨华为.如果是正当竞争,没人管你.可不正当竞争就另当别论了.
华为在我眼中就是不择手段的代名词.记得有次贵州的某机房小班长
家里在装修.华为的销售无意中听到,当天下午就打听到班长家住址及
窗户大小,把窗帘给送家里去了.这不叫无耻叫什么.这种事是个人都
做不出.有人赶在这里承认华为的历史.那么请问这些事是否属实?

got to be blamed. you know what quadwei did in the past. BTW, chinese
pay a high telephone bill only because of China Telecom, not because of Nortel. The price nortel sells their products has no big diference
here or in China. But people here enjoys a much lower rate.
 
搞不明白大家争吵什么?CISCO并没有起诉华为的marketing,争论的焦点是知识产权和协议标准.华为的人送了窗帘能说明什么?离题万里.

What is my background is none of your business.

Also to remind you that it is IMPOLITE to GUESS and talk about my identity in this Internet world. This is the basis of being a decent person.

In this business world, every company is trying to maximize its profits. Whatever the companies like Cisco does in promoting its market is no cleaner than what Huawei does. We are not in a position to judge because I believe neither you and I know all the true stories.

But it is definitely not right to curse a company and hope it to die when you donot know so completely about it and especially when the company has contributed a great deal to the telecom industry in our home country.
 
华为活得越好,我们在北美做通讯的肯定就混的越差,希望华为完蛋也不过是人之常情,就象我们没在CISCO上班就希望CISCO完蛋一样,每个人当然都希望自己的TEAM能WIN。

这不是什么民族问题,关键问题是华为干掉了CISCO后(如果可能的话),是不可能在北美出CISCO肯出的SALARY来请大家做DESIGNER的。大家总得对自己的HOUSE负责吧?
 
很多人是大老板(或认为自己可能是老板的料),站在老板的角度看问题,
当然希望华为好,任教主好,希望自己将来也能办一个华为,当一个任教主,
其实你我当任教主的机会可能还不如中649的机会呢。

骂华为的人都和我一样,认为自己一生最好的下场不过是为CISCO这样的公司打
工(看这满街的LAYOFF,你认为搞个CISCO 的OFFER 容易吗?)。这样的想法很不高尚,甚至很猥琐,但我得承认这至少是很真实真诚的想法,比那种“你们都
去学雷风,老子在海里搞玉凤”的人好多了。

If you look at it another way around and consider it a business case, what are the business implications for you, and how you are going to protect your company one step ahead?
No matter what's happening, it happens, not only between Huawei and Cisco - many similar cases in this planet. I do agree that all Cisco wants is the future market share as the bottom line is always about the market share in business world.Intellectual Property creates the barriers to entry, thus the company holding IP can gain market share as much as possible. It seems to be called non-marketing strategy.

The trading fight about softwood lumber between Canada and USA, banana war between EU and NAFTA, and more ...

If the other Chinese companies can learn from this case, it would be good for them.

CISCO要取证的话,根本不用去中国。
我要是CISCO管打这官司的,只要在北美主要的华人网站上征询。广大的北美华人IT精英们定会无私贡献出许多“证据”。不为别的,为了‘HOUSE’么。

首先,我个人没有这样的证据,有证据也不会这样做。第二,我相信你说的有可能发生(即华为的前雇员不一定站在华为一边)。第三:华为得问问自己
为什么会这样。相反的事为什么一般不会发生在CISCO或一般的北美公司上。
 
国内的外企在市场上的手段更是无所不用其极,俺知道的有外企把高干的太子送到美国读书的,有把美元直接给老总们存到国外帐户的.这比华为的兄弟送个窗帘高级多乐.

听有些人的评论,好象在思科上班的应该希望所有的除思科外的电信巨头们都关门倒闭.自己的房子才能保的住.可惜竞争历来是络绎不绝的,sigh...

即使把华为告倒,电信设备的市场也不会景气到哪去。很多北美IT/TELECOM公司纷纷把开发中心往INDIA和CHINA正是这一趋势的体现。以后要想在北美IT/TELECOM混下去,当个普通的程序员是要落伍的。

华为在北美市场不大,但在中国和南美就厉害了。中国幅员辽阔,象光通讯
和无线都是全球数一数二的市场,北电前不久在中国签了几个DWDM的单,光
纤部门的数字一下就好看了不少。泡么多的时候,多几亿少几亿的单无
所谓,萧条的时候,一个小单就救了命。去年中国CDMA的单一签,北美的几个电信股不都应声而涨,爬出了谷底?

为一个打工崽,俺可不喜欢那种天天加班的竞争,
俺还想多活几十年呢。华为的加入竟争有把大家都变成
布吉那边的玩具厂里的打工妹的危险,大家当然不高兴了。:o

这叫无耻,那国外厂商把电信局老总的子女送出国留学叫啥,
我看你是写code写多了吧? 这样的sales在我看来就是好的sales,该表扬,工作这才叫做到家了
 
看来北美telecom guys的survive策略是希望竞争对手都死光光,而不是自己想办法去做得更好
